Minutes of Meeting
January 11, 2005


Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm with ten (10) members present.

Secretary?s report was read. Henry Murray made motion to accept. Motion seconded by Pat McKinstry. Motion carried.

Treasurer?s report was read and accepted.

County Meeting:
- VAST meeting ? not much.
- Next Director?s meeting will be held at Cion Trout Ranch.
- Having trouble with 4 strokes; machines over heating.
- VAST office hired new person for GPSing. Just for winter season.
- County Road ? out of Maple Corners, Select Board states this year last year to use road.
- Relocation by Gene Bowen: didn?t turn in grant application. Paperwork problem? Who pays?
- Lifting rail east of Jeffersonville. Section closed but a trail to get around it.
- Craftsbury ? trail problem in village.
- Trail problems won?t show on maps.

Trail report:
- Gates all opened.
- Piston Bulley put tool box on.
- Ordered ice cleats. Will put them on.
- Lyle McKinstry and Roger Hall did trimming on Dodge Road and by Country Camper.
- Priced cum along; $185 at Reynolds, $200-$240 at McCloud.
- Pat McCoy needed ?Logging? signs referred to Jason Fielder.
- Plowed parking lot-turn bill in monthly.
- Check trail before going out with groomer. Thursday or Friday Aaron Weed from Montpelier can go with Roger Hall.

Discussion of VAST maybe advertising on TV about courtesy on trails and that grooming is a full-time job to keep trails open.
