Minutes of Meeting
October 12, 2004


Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm with twelve (12) members present.

Secretary?s report was read. Denny Gove made motion to accept. Motion seconded by Henry Murray. Motion carried.

Treasurer?s report was read and accepted.

County meeting:
-Joey LaQuerre found an enclosed ski-doo trailer for Washington County Sheriff for $1,500.00.
-Awards given to: Marshfield Club for ?Most Improved Trails? and to Barre Town Club for ?Best Trails? at the VAST Annual Meeting.
-Trail closed heading to Marty?s from Hardwick.
-Middlesex zoning regulations with restruction on subdivision may cause conflicts for trails.
-New TMA?s in.
-New 2005 map being printed.
-New vibrating groomer being made. Vibrator mounted on pan. $23,000 cost.

Trails report:
-Replaced bridge at Strong?s.
-Thurston trail done.
-Re-welded roll.
-Took chain saw to Pearl Street Motors. Will cost about $100 to fix. Discussion to fix or buy a bigger one. Jeff Parker made a motion to buy a bigger chain saw. Seconded y Pat McKinstry. Motion carried.
-Discussion on buying tool box. Dave Guilmette will get a price for next month?s meeting.
-Discussion on improving drag roll. Dave Guilmette made motion to add steel on pan on drag. Roger Hall will help weld. Seconded by Henry Murray. Motion carried.
-Should walk and check all trails and bridges before snow flies.
-Discussion on maybe changing trail by Brazier.

Web Master: Nothing new to report.

Sandy Woodbeck working on land owner?s permission.

Gravel pit by Lagares to be turned into a wetland. Will still have trail on a berm.

No lease on groomer yet.

Maintenance: Option of who to get. Kassbhrer expensive. Check on place in Burlington that will do work cheaper.

We can stay under VAST insurance being a lease unit.

Fund raising: after 5 years are up, will need $17,000 for groomer. Ideas: The Logger-would have to be scheduling now. Discuss next meeting.

Contract with Montpelier Club is up. What are they going to do this year about Gould Hill?

Snowmobile Safety Course:
-November 29, 2004, December 1, 2004, December 3, 2004 - 6 to 8 pm at Montpelier High School. $10.00 fee. Contact Montpelier Rec. Department.
-December 6, 8, and 10, 2004 - 6 to 8 pm at U-32 High School. $10.00 fee. Contact Community Connection.

Henry Murray made motion to adjourn meeting. John Pattinato seconded motion. Meeting adjourned at 8:35 pm.
